Destruction of the world or a metamorphosis? (December 2011)

The Gurudeva’s article — an important origin point that gave the central question its explicit form.

That war will be waged to obliterate the maximum evil of Kaliyuga and usher the world into the good golden influence of Satyayuga, is being noticed here. The world today is gripped with rancour and untruths. Peace is almost extinct. Only consumerism exists. None is satisfied with a little. Intense material cravings have made man go berserk. Keeping up with the Joneses, vying with each other have become the order of the day. Birth of several religions is causing religious competition. Everyone is endeavouring to outsmart and take revenge on the other. This vengeful competition has resulted in discord, a flourish of arms threats and the presence of substantial nuclear arsenal in many countries.

All these symbolize preparation for war and destruction of lives. Hence like the past during this transition of Kali and Satya the present world is on the verge of encountering another great war. Atomic and biological warfare do purport an innumerable loss of lives, resulting in the elimination of innumerable settlements. Humanity is heading towards this holocaust, but is not facing destruction or holocaust caused by nature. In this manner, man himself will bring destruction upon himself. After this will blossom a new era, a new civilization where and when religious competition, malice, greed, anger, and consumerism will all evanesce and the truthful influence of Satyayuga will sweep away all evil – negative forces.

This change is inevitable. Humankind, beware.

The Gurudeva’s discourse on ‘Awakening of the Critical Mass, Individual Awakening for a Global Spiritual Awakening’.

The time is ripe now for a thorough global metamorphosis failing which the world will head towards falling headlong in the boiling cauldron....

Awakening is arousal of consciousness. Critical Mass in scientific parlance is a mass of a body of fissile material of critical size which is capable of sustaining a nuclear chain reaction with resulting release of energy. Mass awakening is a better option for the critical mass in the parlance of physics or else it could take billions of years. But this is gross science which unfortunately has pushed man to the brink of self-destruction. What we know is probably a very small fraction of what is there to know. Science like any other human activity has its limitations as it cannot help man to evolve himself.

‘Is it possible that anyone wielding a sword in his own hands advises the other to reject it and asks him to maintain peace ? At first the own sword has to be discarded, then counsel with love and understanding about rejecting the other’s sword should be given, for now only can peace flourish. A few countries in the world are nuclear powers. If such countries advise other countries not to make atom bombs, can peace ever descend on earth? The atom bomb is a symbol of destruction. Has man created this earth? When he has not, he does not possess the authority to destroy it, instead he should serve this world created by God. Those who are nuclear powers are nothing but loveless monsters. The concept of serving the world is estranged from politics; politics is bent upon causing destruction to the world because it is dependent upon malice’.

‘This Prana-dharma fosters equanimity both in the macrocosm and microcosm. Therefore practice of Prana dharma is imperative, for only then will the state of equilibrium ensue’.

‘Who is this Shama Churn?’ (Oct 1995)

Excerpts from the book authored by The Gurudeva.

I. ‘The influence of Kaliyuga is gradual retrogression of man. If any object is dropped from a great height then until it reaches the absolute bottom it will continue falling due to the gravitational pull. Therefore again when Kaliyuga will arrive and as long as this yuga will continue till then due to the decadent influence of Kaliyuga man will continue retrogressing. If he is asked to ascend during this descent, it will not be possible for him, hence he should be allowed to descend. But descending gradually when he reaches the abysmal depths, to prevent him from being crushed into smithereens, He conferred to man the mainstay of the Gitalike rope. If anyone descends taking recourse to a thick rope then the possibility of crashing down is extirpated’.

II. ‘Now at the end of Kaliyuga overcoming the apex of augmentation of Prana vibration (almost 100%) or the pinnacle of evil, Prana dynamism of the macrocosm is entering the zenith of goodness i.e. within Satyayuga. Thus it automatically follows that when retrogression was proceeding from worser to the worsest state then the amount of the loss of lives in the battles of Ramayana and Mahabharata would be far less than the loss of lives now when from the zenith of evil the world is entering the zenith of goodness.

Within this span at the end of Kaliyuga two World Wars have been waged, nevertheless the devilish propensities have not been thoroughly extirpated, instead it has immensely enhanced. Therefore in all probability in the near future World War III will be approaching. There is no doubt that there will be a colossal loss of lives compared to that during the Ramayana and Mahabharata wars. Only then will the propensities of the macrocosm i.e. evil be exterminated and the complete manifestation of Satyayuga will occur’.

III. As the momentary Prana vibration of the macrocosm commences orientation towards stillness, dharmas emanating during immense kineticism will be compelled to be the first ones to be extirpated.

For the last thirty years, I have been searching to find an answer to this question: “Why will there be a world war in a yuga transition?” This was my self-imposed query to myself when I learnt from my Gurudeva, Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee, that yuga transition is inevitable. In his discourse, he was putting an argument in front of his devotees:

“We are in a yuga-transition, i.e., one yuga is departing and another yuga is making an arrival. Is this shift happening only in India? Is this only coming to this planet Earth?”

He himself clarified: “This epochal shift is coming across the whole creation.” He hinted that this shift is irreversible and none can escape this.

Now in my vision I see that one World War is likely to happen. Before that, a turbulence is being manifested within human nature, within human mind and ultimate expression (‘Saaransh’ in Hindi) of that is atomic bomb. Now, in the whole world there are so many atomic bombs in stock, if that detonate together, whole planet earth will cease to exist. Scientists, those who made this for annihilating planet earth - should we classify them as a human or a demon? Whatever they have made, how can I call them human, they have become demon and this demon is production of Kaliyuga....In this third great War, in my opinion, city civilization will cease to exist, thereafter our village civilization will rise, and peace will dawn on earth.
